Multimedia Home Networking (MHN) is a networking platform for Audio Video (AV) streaming applications on IP home networks. MHN enhances AV streaming performance and reliability by ensuring network quality-of-service (QoS) for AV applications by providing mechanisms for admission control, run time monitoring and enforcement, application feedback, and traffic prioritization.
Sounds like this service is a lot of hot air. It is only available on Windows Media Center Edition 2005. Always remember that QoS is only local, meaning QoS does nothing to enhance Internet applications as from your ISP to the server you are connecting to controls QoS. After the installation of Service Pack 3, the default changed from Automatic to Manual.
