Provides management for applications that require assistance in a multiple user environment.
Unless you have several different users on a system, you probably do not even need this service to be running. You could benefit, however, if you use this service in conjunction with several users on your local computer to allow switching between accounts without closing all existing applications running.
Take note: When switching accounts, all applications that the previous account was running are still going and taking up memory. It basicly is a trade off of bloat to convenience. For example, you have several Firefox windows upon surfing the web and another family member desired to "quickly check E-mail." You can leave the applications as is, then Start > Log Off > Switch User. After the family member is done, you can switch users back to your account and everything is how you left it... in theory.
